Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor Maine

This was definitely my favorite stop, thus far. Amazingly beautiful! We actually left the motor home and the dogs at my parents' house and took a car up to Maine. We stayed in this little duplex cottage, complete with very tiny television and standard coffee maker.

Bar Harbor, or as the locals call it "Bah Habah," is extremely touristy, especially when the leaves start to change colors. But, getting to see Acadia National Park is totally worth braving the leaf peepers, plus the people watching is excellent. We spent three days at the park and went into the little downtown area a few nights. We were pretty much surrounded by lobster and cruise ship passengers. We attempted to go to a whale museum, but it turned out to be a gift shop with a few whale models that were probably purchased from Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I took a ton of photos, but I tried to narrow it down. If you ever get the opportunity to go, take full advantage. I highly recommend it!
